Terms of Service

By using Appreciate Engine (the “Service”), operated by Appreciate Engine, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What the service does

Appreciate Engine is a customer relationship tool that helps small service businesses stay in touch with their customers at meaningful moments. The Service surfaces suggested messages based on your customer data, you remain responsible for reviewing and sending those messages from your own devices.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older and legally authorized to operate the business you register.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• Each account is for one business and is intended for a single user.

Your data

You own the customer data you add to Appreciate Engine. We do not claim any ownership over your customer list, contact information, or business records. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Appreciate Engine to:

• Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or illegal communications
• Violate any applicable laws, including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, or GDPR
• Harvest or sell personal data from the platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the Service

You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send to your customers. Appreciate Engine provides suggested message templates, you review and send them yourself.

Billing & trials

• Trials are 14 days and do not require a payment method to start. Nothing is charged during the trial.
• After your trial, a paid subscription (entered at that time) is required to continue using the Service.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly. Prices are shown at appreciateengine.com/pricing.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you will not be charged again after that.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, push updates, or experience outages. We will notify you in advance of planned downtime where possible.

Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days before deletion, giving you time to export what you need.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We’ll notify you by email if we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
